LumiLED - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to LumiLED ("we," "our," or "us"). LumiLED is a creative LED scroller and pixel art application designed for entertainment and visual expression. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Key Point: LumiLED does not collect any personally identifiable information. All your creations are stored locally on your device. We use Firebase services for crash reporting and anonymous usage analytics to improve the app.

2. Information We Collect

LumiLED is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Here is what the app handles:

Stored Locally on Your Device:

Your Creations: Pixel art designs, text animations, and GIF presets you create are saved locally on your device using on-device storage.
App Preferences: Settings such as display configurations are stored locally.

Collected Anonymously via Firebase:

Crash Reports: When the app crashes, anonymous technical information (device model, OS version, crash stack trace) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. No personal data is included.
Usage Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used most often) is collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you.

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or any other personally identifiable information.

3. Device Permissions

LumiLED may request the following device permissions to enable specific features. These permissions are only used for the purposes described below and no data from these permissions is transmitted off your device:

Bluetooth: Used exclusively for the Sync Mode feature, which allows multiple devices to display synchronized LED animations together. Bluetooth is used to discover and communicate with nearby devices running LumiLED.
Local Network: Used in Sync Mode to establish peer-to-peer connections between devices for synchronized displays.
Location (When In Use): Required by the operating system to discover nearby Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices for Sync Mode. LumiLED does not track, store, or transmit your location.
Camera: Used solely to control the camera flash LED for the Flashlight/Strobe feature. LumiLED does not capture photos, videos, or any visual data.

Important: All permissions are optional. You can decline any permission and still use the other features of the app. Permissions can be managed at any time in your device's Settings.

4. Data Storage

All data created within LumiLED (pixel art designs, text animations, GIF presets, and settings) is stored locally on your device. We do not use cloud storage, remote databases, or external servers. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.

5. Third-Party Services

LumiLED uses the following third-party services provided by Google. These services do not collect personally identifiable information:

Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports to help us identify and fix bugs. Firebase Privacy Policy
Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to help us understand which features are most valued by our users.
Firebase Cloud Messaging: Used to deliver occasional push notifications about app updates and new features. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.

LumiLED does not display ads, does not sell or share data with third parties for advertising purposes, and does not use any ad-related tracking SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

LumiLED is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, there are no special concerns regarding children's data. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide.

7. Data Security

Your creations and settings are stored locally on your device and are protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, encryption, etc.). Anonymous crash and usage data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit and at rest according to Google's security standards.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
